Escola Carioca De Surf

We have been enjoying settling into Rio de Janeiro.  The boys had their first surf lesson (with Escola Carioca De Surf) and all enjoyed it.  They all got up very quickly and had fun in the waves.  Sam in particular was hilarious – he has a way with certain sports and I can tell surfing is going to be one of them.  He would go every day if he could, but for now he will have to wait a few days until his next lesson. The beach that we went to was beautiful… we have been to so many beaches already: Prainha, Barra, Copacabana, Joatinga and Sao Conrado are a few of them. We are off on a 2 hr journey today through the mountains to stay at a home for night at one of Dave’s business associates here in Brazil.  We enjoyed a great church service this morning at an English speaking church that had an African guest speaker. We met many wonderful people… the church had an outdoor basketball court which Matt was excited to play on and Josh had ten minutes on a piano! I have hundreds of photos to sort and will post some soon.Image
